Why is it Intelligent Black Women still pick thugs?

I find it strange that the majority black women, who work hard, do well in school and have a nice life for themselves still end up picking street thugs/players who don't have their shit together to be their partners/lovers and for the black women that don't go down this route they would totally overlook Intelligent Black men and date outside their race.

Now i've talk to a lot of black women and it seems that when a brother isn't acting like a thug, or have that swagger they don't see his as masculine. Yet, they spread their legs for the so called "masculine" men who have these traits and end up becoming single moms. Why is it black women who put their lives in place go out of their way to pick men who will fuck up their lives?

Women of other ethnicities do this a lot as well. Best to just stay away from: they're obviously not really that smart. It's just unfortunate they still suck up your tax money when they become single moms.

P. S. I hope in that 72% statistic there are lots of unmarried couples, otherwise the life choices African American women make are downright pathological.

To be honest, they don't know until it's too late, I grew up without a father exactly how you explained it, sisters' usually don't have a choice or they don't know better.

So because the black women are single mothers they were with thugs? There really is no other possibility you can think of? Divorce, death of a spouse, women who are in a relationship but don't believe in marriage, you can't believe any of that as a potential explanation?

Nope usually it's because of picking of poor partners. Those mentioned by your are a possibility but let's not kid ourselves it is the norm or sizable amount.

Plus black women tend to date outside of their race because of many black men who slander, belittle, and continuously put them down and refuse to show them respect. If they can't get the love and respect they need from the black men around them what do you expect them to do, be single and miserable?

Now I'm not saying that there aren't women who do that, there definitely are, but educated black women generally don't do that. And it applies to all races of women, not just black women.
