Why girls pretend to be indifferent to guys?

I came across that girls pretend way too much! I know one girl likes me, but she denies that fact. what would you suggest me to do?

Leave the girl alone, that's what you do. It means don't cross that line. Just because you know she's attracted to you, likes you in that way. Does that mean's she just HAS to date you? Be IN a relationship with you? NO. It is all based on what? Choices. It's either a yes or it's a no. So even if she doesn't want to be with you, drop it. Before you give her a reason to despise you. And you will force her hand to push you away. Seriously. Listen to what I have to say because I have been there, done that, and don't want to go back.

An old 'friend' of mine did this to me since grade 6. He never let up on me. I told him before that I am NOT interested. He was. I was just trying to be his friend. He didn't want to be friends. But only did because he was still 'fighting for me'. And all it did was stress me out, made me sick, not want to attend school with him there, etc. I was ready to avoid him like the plague. Towards my 11/12th grade year, I graduated early. We came across each other again coming home from the train station since we live in two different apartment buildings and go to different high schools. He finally has a girlfriend. And we were finally talking civil as friends. I was hoping he finally moved on. But he didn't. He kept throwing his girlfriend in my face, supposedly getting girlfriend advice. Until he said the one thing that you wouldn't believe: "Had I dated him, he wouldn't be with his girlfriend right now." After that, I have never spoken to him again. You don't try to 'get the girl' by 'disrespecting the girl'. Doesn't work that way. No matter what she is feeling, as long as she is NOT trying to play hard to get, leave her alone and find somebody else. If she didn't go out with you, it's for a good reason. It could be what you're into, what she senses about you, maybe she doesn't like your personality etc. There is always a reason why I never dated a guy that supposedly was physically attractive to me or were attracted to me. And when I found those reasons I was glad I never took the plunged.

So before you ask why girls pretend to be indifferent to guys, ask what is their reason to being indifferent. If that is your real profile picture, I would assume that your too much of a charmer or player and the girl doesn't want to be involved with somebody who is narcissistic about his looks and figure he can get any girl he wants. In other words, she doesn't want to get hurt.

lots of people do that. some because they think it makes them look cool, like too cool to care above feelings etc.

others bc they think they have to that if they don't no one will like them.

others don't want to seem obvious until they sort out what they want.

its not girls its people. not all girls do it not all guys do it. some do some don't. if you like her tell her. if she says she doesn't like you move on. if she's pretending and really likes you too bad for her. if you don't want to play games them don't. that includes accommodating other people while they play games.

Just scared of getting hurt I guess. Not saying I agree with it, but that's usually the reason.

When I was a freshman in high school, I liked this boy for months but he was giving me the run around because he kinda liked me back but he also liked the most gorgeous girl in class. Then one day, one of his (female) friends came up to me and asked if I like him. I got scared and said no. So nothing ever happened. But I always regretted it because who knows, maybe he was thinking of asking me out and I just turned him down. So ever since, I've taken the chance and always been honest.

Well darlin' it's a complicated game in the dating world. You spend too much time showing your interest and people think there is something wrong with you. But if you don't spend enough time being interested, then it's called into question as well.

Have you asked her on a date? Can't hurt to ask her out. If she keeps pretending that she doesn't like you, then maybe you need to move on? I'm not 100% sure why she would insist she doesn't like you. But if she does like you then she ought to say yes to a date!

Sometimes it's not pretense, but is real. Though in many cases it is a pretense because females think it makes them seem "desperate" to show that they like a guy or are attracted to them. In their minds, it's weakness as a female to make it known that they're either interested or think you're good-looking, so they pretend you're not that important as a way to save face.

Fear of feeling rejected, or being perceived as having been rejected. If you really want her, you have to be aggressive about it. This will relieve all possible fear about her being rejected, instead of doing the possible rejecting. Once you pursue openly in a very serious manner (without room for doubt), this issue should be alleviated.
If you already did this, especially if you did it more than once, she is just not into you.

A lot of the time it's due to us feeling the guy doesn't like us back. And most of the time they don't, so we just deny. Deny Deny. Besides, some guys get a big head when they find out that girls like them, even if it's just one. They try to use that to their advantage. In you situation just try talking to her. Do you like her back? If so, and you know for a FACT that she likes you back, if you want something to happen between the two of you, just confess to her how you feel to her.

Leave her be, go find a different girl, and then watch her as she bites her nails. Or maybe she really doesn't like you. Guys can think too much about a situation and misinterpret a girls actions. If she says she doesn't like you... then maybe she really doesn't.

I have done this before to deny that I liked/crushed on a guy because I realised that he was a manipulator and user. (other people had confirmed it to me) Did it to protect myself and my emoitions.

Get to be better friends with her first. Don't rush a romantic relationship. Don't be too clingy if you aren't that close. Basically, don't be creepy.

Also, and don't take this the hard way, she might actually mean what she says. Maybe she really doesn't like you, and that's okay. Rejection is a normal part of life.
