Does she like me if she gets quiet around me?

OK so I like this girl in my class. She seems to like me, but I mean I like her more than friends and wondering what she thinks.

She seems to like being around me, but she gets really quiet. Like twice this week she has sat down next to me, but then gotten really quiet. If I ask her about herself sometimes she will barely speak and just nod. If I talk about class though she gets talkative.

She also seems comfortable touching me. Like today she put her arm on my shoulder and leaned against me. She always makes some physical contact with me every day.

I would think she likes me, but the thing is there is another guy in the class who obviously likes her and they are always talking and seem to have conversations a lot more easily with him. Around me she clams up. She also seems to be around him a lot more so I get jealous.

That's what I did when I first started crushing on my boyfriend. I'd sit next to him and barely speak. (due to the fear that I might say something embarrassing or stupid.)
For me, it was easy to just blab to guys I didn't have any feelings for, but as soon as I got next to my crush I became a mute lol. I think she could be developing feelings for you.

It could be that she does like you cause girls tend to not go on embarrassing topics or not say anything much to or around of guys they like in fear of seeming weird and unattractive to the guy they like

that's exactly what I do when sitting next to mu crush, if you get what I mean. Try asking her stuff and see, if she gets more tense or no. In my opinion, she might like you.
