Why would she reject me if she says she likes me?

Im having a crush on this girl who avoids dating me , she keeps saying that she really likes me
but its been three times im asking her out and she says she can't.
Lately she's been telling me that her last boyfriend hurt her and that she's not ready for
a relationship , but then she says that we should get to know each other better.
Honestly , i don't know if these are excuses to not date but just to keep me around.
Im just thinking that if i really like a girl then i would never reject her no matter what.

So do you think she's playing me?

Just give her time and don't expect too much on her asking you out, just play it cool and forget about it. And if you want to get close to her, don't ask her out as a date, do it with multiple of people. Eventually maybe she would decide if she would like to be on a real date with you or not. And if not, just kinda move on and forget about the whole thing. That's my opinion I guess. Trying to get really close to her is only gonna push her away.

Bro. Don't ask her out again. You should only have to ask once, and then back off. Don't be her friend. If she doesn't come around, it wasn't your fault, she's just not ready or hasn't realized if she likes you enough to overcome her insecurities. If you keep waiting, she will see you as weak and needy. Lot of girls get hung up on exes for YEARS. Can't change people. Be confident. Let go, and she may come back to you.
