My crush has depression, how can I help her?

I've got this crush on a girl that I've known for a few months now. She's a year older than me and really cute. we get on really well, and today she told me she has suicidal depression, and has had for a few years. What can I do to help her, I want to care for her and her to realize how much I care for her. because I really do, and I don't want her to go through such hardships.

Dude if you want to help her help her for her not so that she can see you in a different light. That's step 1 . Step 2 make sure to find the root of the problem (s) . Step 3 do not baby her, no matter if she is self loathing or feeling bad for herself DO NOT tell her it's okay and comfort her. It may help now but later on in life if this happens again she will not be strong enough because you did that. Step 4 help her see all the blessings she has in her life , and help her understand that all the things she's been through are lessons to make her stronger nothing else. There will always be light at the end of the tunnel. if you need more help message me , I have experience with this sort of thing.

Tell her to go to a counselor because they're professionals. I mean, obviously don't be harsh about it, just bring it up naturally.

You can't help her, you are only one person but maybe you should try to tell somebody who might know what to do (teenagers with depression is a serious thing)... and you know, just be her friend, be with her, and be cool about it with her

This is out of your control.
Her depression will not go away if you tell her you love her and are there for her.
That's just the way it is.

I don't plan to get rid of the depression because I know that's impossible but I just really want make it easier for her

Reassure her that you will be there. Anything you can do to ease anxiety.
