Not at all, girls can tend to be more hesitant and guys actually like when we know what we want and show it. It's a good thing to take initiative and if he's shy he'll be more than relieved that you actually made the first move. Go get himmm

Not weird at all :) often guys are too shy, even if the tension is there or they are trying to nudge at it (touching lightly when near you) but they can't make the final move :) go for it!
