Am I too picky with girls' looks?

Yeah, is it bad if, no matter how good a girls personality can be, and how much she flirts with me, I can't see myself in a relationship with a girl who's less then say, an 8? I'm 16ish, not a bad looking guy, and not overly confident but not shy either, and I just haven't had any luck with dating in the past year, and I'm just thinking maybe I'm being too picky. I mean I don't know any guys that can honestly say that looks don't matter to them, but sometimes I feel like all the hot girls are either taken, or really stuck up preppy b******, at my age anyway.

But before I get way off topic, is it weird that I only date relatively hot girls, with good personalities also, because I haven't been able to find any of them lately...

First of all, I would just like to point out that girls are shallow, so they should not be hypocritical toward a guy being shallow. Looks ARE important. But you don't always have to think that someone is extremely attractive right off the bat. A lot of times, once you get to know someone really well, you begin to think they look more beautiful and attractive on the outside. I would say that you should keep looking for girls that live up to your "8" with a good personality standard, but also start giving it a shot with girls who are maybe a 6 with a good personality. They just may become an 8 or higher once you get to know them more.

I don't know, but it seems a bit shallow to me. Whatever makes you happy, really. If you find that girl with the total package, then good for you. But, if you struggle finding her, then I think its time to start lowering your standards. You're still young, so no worries.

Yeah I feel shallow saying all this. Its not that I don't want to connect to a girl emotionally, its that I can't unless I'm attracted to her physically.

youre focusing too much on the outside appearance and sound shallow. I think you just need to bloom a little love in yourself and turn to friendship with girls to learn what it means to love someone for who they are.

I want to but I just can't find myself attracted to girls that aren't great for me on the outside and the inside. I don't mean to sound shallow, I'm actually a pretty emotional guy, even though I never ever show it...

Just spend time being single then, may be you're not ready for a relationship you're still young its common at that age =)

I mean you need to be attracted to the way your interest looks and she needs to have a good personality too, I think its okay, because girls sorta do that too
