Why would a girl dry hump but not kiss?

The girl I've been going out with for a while won't kiss me because she says she believes it will complicate things and/or doesn't see a future for us. But just the other day she initiated cuddling and literally dry humped me. I started kissing her passionately and even though I could tell she enjoyed it she never returned the action. What am I missing here?

she is looking for a fuck buddy, not a serious relationship. or she already has one that she doesn't want you to know about. i mean she literally would ride you but she doesn't want to give you wrong hopes about a relationship.

Your missing that she believes that kissing will make a strong emotional bond between you two. Which is wrong but she still believes it.
So she would rather dry hump you than kiss you because of her way of thinking.

She's being weird, a kiss doesn't mean that somehow you two will grow strongly attached you'll be over each other within a few days
