Do you think that women should shave their underarm area?

To be honest, i have seen a lot of girls who just literally don't shave their armpits and post it all over social media... And i'm not saying that they HAVE TO wax or shave them off. But the fact is i think that women SHOULD shave. Having your underarm hair out to the public is just disgusting and annoying tbh And not many people would like it.

The figurative word here is "should". No one SHOULD do something they are not comfortable with simply to please others. That being said, as a male, I find hairy underarms on a women unattractive. This subject really boils down to three contributing factors. 1.) Hygiene. Cleanliness is paramount and if nothing else, trimming is often considered good practice for any body hair, male or female, and is usually consider to make a good impression by the opposite persuasion. 2.) Sociological norms. In the US, women typically shave under there arms (and else where) and this is the common practice, but in other regions such as Latin America and randomly throughout Europe, this is considered highly uncommon or even exotic. 3.) Personal preference. This concerns both your personal preference for yourself and your partner and vise versa. A partner maybe turned off by excessive body hair and if you're not particularly devoted to it (and really, how many people are staunch proponents of their pit hair), then what's wrong with shaving it for someone you love? Again, no one SHOULD be made to feel that they aren't good enough in their own body, but if a partner asked me nicely, I figure its just hair. It grows back.

Honestly I think hair looks better on people than clean shaven, but in general it's their choice to shave or not so I'm kinda indifferent about it.
Although I'll say one thing, wtf is up with people dying it? that's just weird.

You know what, I get the concept behind the feminist movement and I appreciate it and all but, having lived in both America, UK and south Asia, I've seen the difference in American girls, specifically these hardcore feminists, and girls in the rest of the world. In proving that they are equal to men, American girls have literally lost all of their femininity and honour, that has nothing to do with oppression and everything to do with the way things have always been and always should be. Not shaving is one of them. It's disgusting

If you have such a problem with it just go by, slap a wax strip on them, and rip it off for them. If you don't want to do that, then you prob should stop worrying about their underarm hair. Let them be gross to you. I promise you they give zero shits what you and what other people think.

Shaving is nice because for some people, sweat gets trapped in the tangled hairs and can get smelly. But even then, it would still be their choice.

Yeah.
I had a female TA who didn't shave her underarms or legs and would always wear spaghetti strap dresses. Just gross looking. Hairy (either gender) isn't cute.
The girl sitting next to me said the TA had more hair than her boyfriend 😂

I think it looks nicer for that area to be shaved but I'm not going to say another woman *should* do it just because I think it looks better. Other women can do what they want.

My cousins from NorCal and most of her friends don't shave and they model. I think it's different from how society has shaped us through out the years. The past 10 or so years there has been lots of changes and this one "might" stay for certain women. I believe in Europe groups of women don't shave. It's different and I hope this catches. 😀

Honestly, I find what has happened with society disgusting.
-Women feel like they need to make social statements by not shaving.
-Women decide not to shave period so they don't live up to standards purposely.
All those hardworking women who spent years on equal rights goals are completely distorted.

Yes they should because we are talking about hygiene. It stinks, and sometimes the skin even darkens if you don't shave at least once a week. This is not about genders; it's about our own self care.

Personally, I choose to shave my underarms. I sweat a lot so I feel cleaner when I shave them. Plus, I think I'd feel insecure about the appearance of having hair there. However, it doesn't bother me when other women don't shave. More power to them.
