Why would my female friend suddenly start acting shy around me?

We would have a lot of fun just hanging out and talking. We would talk on Facebook chat for hours. One day she just kind of started acting shy with me and stopped liking and commenting on my posts. She now seems to only message me after I message her first but she always looks at my messenger day thing?

She might have gotten a crush on you. She might have heard a bad rumor about you. She might have found a new freind and is busy with him. She might be busy. There are a lot of things that it could be but something happened.

Either she is starting to see u more than a friend so she is keeping herself away cuz she doesn't want to attach ,,
or she gets a boyfriend

Na I don't think that she got a boyfriend. If she started seeing some one she would tell me about it or her friends would be talking about it.

maybe she doesn't want to think that she acts like this beacuse she got a boyfriend,,,,
But if you are close friends as you said, go and ask her what's wrong? Is there anything happening to you? and she will tell you everything

The only thing that happened recently is that I'm chatting less online because of finals and now my work is giving me a ton of hours which I happily told her. She tells me a lot but not everything.

well some girls just do that cuz it would be weird if she express that n in the same time they r shy n can't totally ignore it , talking about it would take her ages cuz kinda huge step n mostly girls never tell straight what they feel or think about
