i know about shy girls... I am one!

Shy girls will look a lot, will look away fast, if you catch her looking... she will show off a bit more when you are around. If she is a bit of a loud mouth, she will be more quiet when you are around, if she is quiet, she might be a bit more loud, when you are around.. you know, difference in her behavior whenever you are around. I am shy around guys, but confident in speeches and etc. I usually get all shy when I'm giving a speech, if he is around. She will be nervous, and she will be moving her hands and feet a lot when you are around. She will play with her hair, and keep checking to see if its in place and stuff. She will be looking at you a lot. And she will always be trying to find for you in a crowd.

Try getting your friends to ask her if she has some interest over you, and to watch her behavior. If she is a shy girl, she will probably say no, but will be all stammering, and not making eye contact, and will be smiling a lot. She will try to look her best when you are around. She will try her best to be in the same place with you. Like she may choose an extra-curricular activity, which is on the same day as yours. Or she may even be in the same activity you do.

Then, check out the way she responds in conversations. She will be asking you a lot of personal questions. She will probably always join you, if you are talking with other girls. She will always try to find out who that other girl was, if she doesn't know her, or will tease you a lot about her, after she leaves, in order to find out what you feel towards her. She will try her best to spend time with you. Will be more comfortable talking to you on chat or through sms, or even in calls, rather than face to face. You will find her having lots of trouble with keeping eyecontact around you.. If she is really shy. She will have lots of trouble, if she is very close to you too.. She will be nervous as hell, if you are sitting next to her or something.

She will preen, constantly touching her hair when she looks at you she will also smile with teeth (she may not do this however if she is self concious about her teeth). But she will play with her hair, and blush, also if your very observant you will notice that her eyes may dilate, resulting in blinking to try and re-focus.

Its difficult to know as she may become shy if she likes you, or she may be very forward?

She might be inclined to ditch her plans to spend time with you...

When she invests in you.

For a girl to be attracted is not enough. If she invests in you she's attracted.

Depending on where you are in the interaction, you can always do the gay dude test.

(where you look at her, deep in her eyes and move in towards her. if she pulls away or it seems like she's feeling awkward, she probably isn't ready for you to kiss her, or she's not attracted enough yet.)

Think about if a guy touched your hand, a little too long, would you pull it away, or keep it there.

There are ways of touching a woman to test her receptiveness to see where you are.

To get her turned on you have to first get her used to your touch and you do that by not putting any value with that touch first. You don't stare at your hand and then stare at the part of her body and do it all shy like and say "is it OK if I touch you here? NO. you do it like it was an accident, or more importantly like its no big deal, she needs to get a sense that you are just that way with everyone.

Then you move on to the gay dude test.

You can ask her to invest, such as ask her to put her hair up, to see what it looks like.

Obvious question produces an obvious answer:

Firstly, she is going to tell you. This may be verbal to your face, or through a friend. You have to pick up the nuances though, as it isn't most of the time very direct. (for example "I haven't had a relationship for ages!" - she then doesn't talk about any other guys. She is also continuing to flirt with you. This is a good sign!)

And of course, non-verbal clues. Open/sexual body language (thrusting breasts, exposing neck, pouting lips, eye contact, coy smiles, pupil dilation, flushed cheeks, laughing at your sh*t jokes and stories)

It takes practise. Many people, especially guys, never really learn it and simply stumble through life getting lucky.
