He couldn't stop staring at my lips when we were talking?

I was talking to a guy friend and putting on lip balm at the same time, and he couldn't stop staring at my lips and was talking TO my lips. His eyes were glued for a good 5-7 seconds (which is really long). Is putting on lip balm that fascinating? Is he thinking of something else? Am I reading too much into this?

It sounds like he thinks you have nice lips, which drew his attention in. See if he does is again in a different situation, like just talking or taking a drink. If he continues to stare at your mouth he probably is thinking about kissing you.

He was thinking that you have very pretty lips. He may even have been thinking about what it would have been like to kiss them. Perhaps not in a "I want her as my girlfriend" sort of way, but hey, a pretty girl is always food for thought.

The other very real possibility is that he was concentrating on what you were saying. Sometimes a little lip reading help out - especially in a louder environment. But I think he wanted to kiss you. You could have really had some fun if you planted a deep one on him. Who knows where it could have lead?

I read some where/ heard of it being a sign a person wants to kiss.

Yeah that's what I thought too, but wasn't sure...because I think it's unconscious or something?

well it has been said that girls lips on their mouths look a lot like the lips on their, well, vagina. So yes surprisingly enough there is something sexual about it.
