He wouldn't stop staring at me?!

So I like this guy and I'm pretty sure he likes me. but if you ask him if he likes me he'll say no! (i've had my friends do some investigating) but whenever I look at him he can't stop smiling, and today he wouldn't stop staring at me, I could see him out of the corner of my eye. and my friends say its obvious he likes me and another guy told me he that he still like me. so If he why does he say he doesn't say he likes me?

BTW: I'm in middle school and I've also heard one of his friends say "are you gnna ask her?" and when I turned around he wuz smiling at me

You're young, that's how guys your age act. They have no idea what they want and they also try to act cool even if that means they have to lie. I suggest you just go with the flow. If he likes you and approaches you then that's even better. But there's no need to worry and over think this situation. Just have fun being young.
