What does it mean if a man won’t stop staring?

It’s like a kids dad from my sons class at school he’s just always staring intensely at me not smiling really it makes me a bit uncomfortable. I took my son to a kids birthday today and he wouldn’t stop staring at me like whenever I looked up he was. So yeah what’s up with that?

That's very weird. Because of the not smiling. Staring at someone and not smiling is pretty much a universally threatening gesture. Those are really the only cases where people will ever do that.

Can you think of any other situation someone stares without smiling (repeatedly) WITHOUT it being meant as a threatening gesture of ill-will? I can't think of any.

Now if this guy had horrible social skills, or had some sort of "staring problem" (you're probably too young to get that reference)... then other women would have noticed he was creepy. He would quickly develop a reputation for staring at women in an uncomfortable way. This sounds like he doesn't do that. He only stares at YOU like that.

I don't have any real answer for you, except... I think feeling uncomfortable makes sense. Whatever he is thinking behind those eyes-set-in-a-serious-face... while staring at you inapropriately long-time, every-time you look up... it's nothing good.

That's not how a dude will stare if he's attracted to a woman. It's more how he might stare if he's thinking about how many pieces he'll need to cut her into to fit her in his freezer.

This is "minor" as far as possible creepiness goes. But I think it's unmistakable, and a very sure sign. Nobody does that for anything but "negative" reasons. This kinda creeps me out to be honest.
