Is it a turn off to like anime?

i am a huge fan of anime in case you couldn't tell by my profile pic. but I've noticed from girls that some give me a look like I'm weird when they find that out. but i also have met a few that jump to talk to me about it. what about you? is it a turn off?

I personally don't mind anime and even have some that I watch. As far as someone I'm interested in goes, I absolutely don't mind if they like anime. That's just another thing we can bind over.
Cosplaying fans, however, I'm undecided. There are also those that add Japanese into their normal vocabulary (or literally just using "baka").
You can like anime and still act like a grown up.

not at all. I am open to anything different than what I like. I personally like anime but even if i didn't I would be open to give it a try with a friend or someone I like..
