senpai means someone that teaches you.
you can call senpai your upper lvl school mate who helps you.
or at the workplace your college who's working there for longer time than you.
and it never changes. in rank you'll see that college above you. whatever that you get a higher position than him, you'll treat him when you talk that way.
it's not an anime thing, it's a japan culture thing.
anime: i watch it since age 6.
lot of anime is better than a common cartoon (spiderman, TMNT, x-men... < these r my favs among none anime)
because they teach you something about life.
like, in naruto you can learn to respect your enemy, and don't judge someone fast before you not know their story (that WHY they do what they do)

It's anime dude. Some animes are fantasy, some are love, some are both. For some girls ( Like me ) who have no love life, and probably won't ( Like for my Bestie and I, most of the boys at our school still act like they are in KG. ) ever have one.
Also, Senpai means one of two things. Someone you respect, or someone you love. Like in this one Minecraft Series my Bestie watches ( Which I on occasion watch as well ) their is this one character that calls the Lord of the town Aphmau~Senpai. She uses it as a sign of respect.

Imagine you are in 10th grade
If you talk to someone in 11th or 12th grade, you call it "Senpai"
And you have to finish it's name with Senpai in the end like:
"Hello ovuvuevuevue enyetuenwuevue ugbemugbem osas - senpai"I like it because of the cultural differences. Since we live in America, we get used to American references, ideologies, and storyline ideals—and it gets old.
One of my most recent animes I've started watching involves people turning into weapons to serve gods. I haven't seen anything like that here in America.
It's a breath of fresh air.for me, personally, i've grown up watching anime and the animations and storylines are super cool. It's gotten to the point where I prefer anime over most movies and other media because it evokes more emotion and action that other shows can't show.
I like anime because generally, the animation is gorgeous and some of them can have really great storylines.
Senpai means
"co-worker (person) who joined the company (school) earlier than u did"
but it's difficult to explain in English. if you want to know meaning of this word, you should study Japanese. i think.I use to watch it for the romance... ahhh I'm a hopeless romantic.
Senpai is like an older wiser person you look up toI don’t like anime at all lol. I don’t speak Japanese, don’t have the patience to read subtitles, and it seems really really weird lmao
The characters are always so cute in it
Senpai means upperclassman.
