Are insecure girls a turn off?

If you meet this girl who wasn't say "gorgeous" but was really pretty, and she doesn't think so, how would you feel about her?

Would you try to make her see how pretty she really was or just move on because you think the girl should have more confidence?

There does need to be some chemistry.

When I first met my wife she was convinced she was fat and ugly.

At the time she was well under a healthy weight, and even then she was one of the most beautiful women I have ever known. There was just something about her that I couldn't get out of my head. We don't get to pick who we fall in love with.

It took time to help her break away from the lies she came to hold as the truth.

That chemistry I spoke of got stronger as she started loving who she was.

Today she is VERY confident about her body, and knows she can do anything she sets her mind too. It didn't take buying a single thing from the a$$holes who want to tell you how you need to look or act.

The media for some f***ed up reason thinks it's OK to promote things that lead to a very unhealthy mind set in women, and to some extent men as well.

Why?

Look in any womans magazine. Count all the ads. Now subtract all the ads that have nothing to do with "How to look/be better".

I bet the number hardly went down.

They make lots of money making you feel like crap, and then selling you ways to "improve yourself". Most of the time people don't need it. They are just fine the way they are.

I bet if you could get the people who print this crap in front of a camera you would find they are more in need of the garbage they are pushing than you are...but they don't care...they whistle on the way to the bank with your money in their pocket.

My life became blessed on so many levels because I took the time to help her see who she really was and the beauty everyone else saw when they looked at her.

Insecurity in a girl is less damaging than in a guy. In today's social scene it's still the guys who generally make the first move, if they like your looks then they'll come talk to you and if the girls insecure then endless compliments will follow.

However if a guys insecure then he won't go up to a girl in the first place, and it's very unlikely that a girl will come up to him.

The bottom line is, confidence doesn't matter as much to guys as it does to girls.

i'd have to know more about her, but if she had other things about her I liked then yea I'd try and do that. if she had like almost no confidence at all I think it'd be hard for me to try and be with her, though.

I personally would try to make her see how pretty she is... no problem. But still she should have more confidence... its better for her.

TOO insecure girls are really annoying though...
