Meaning of girl saying "He is so buff"?

A girl looked at me and said this to her friend. I live in London in the UK and this is a British slang term. I know buff generally means muscular and well-toned but I am not muscular, just normal sized and slim. What does buff mean in the British slang context?

In British slang, buff means the same thing as anywhere else: muscular, well-built, jacked, whatever. Maybe she was mocking you if you're not at all muscular?

Ooooh, or she could have taken how buff can mean fit but fit can also just mean attractive in general and used it that way, as to say you're attractive. I'd say it's either her just saying you're generally attractive (though most here would just say 'he's so fit' if that's what they meant) or she was mocking you.

Maybe her idea of "muscular" is "not flabby". Some people think "generally fit" is muscular enough, and really ripped guys are just gross.
