How often do girls actually get asked out?

Cat calling doesn't count. I feel like a lot of people really overestimate about how often a girl gets asked out. Or that probably only the top 40% of girls are the ones being asked out, while the rest probably don't even get asked out all year.

I've heard they get around 20-40 messages a day on dating sites, and god damn from the responses here it looks like it's almost the same thing in reality? It's not like we have a gender imbalance. Meanwhile I have never once been asked out, or anything even approaching it. Is there just some hidden population of super shy girls somewhere?

Actually attractive women get asked out all the time. Less attractive women obviously get hit on less, but still leagues more than men of same levels of attractiveness.

You’re right - it totally depends on a combo of how attractive she is and how outgoing she is. If she’s very attractive and not outgoing, she’ll still get asked out. If she’s not attractive, but very outgoing, she’ll get asked out by other unattractive people. If she’s both unattractive and socially awkward, she won’t get asked out much.

I don't consider myself butt-ugly, but I have been asked out only once is my life. But I have known an ugly girl who was asked out on a daily basis, by obviously ugly dudes who couldn't get better. She used to brag about it all the time, but I'm happy I'm not bothered by dudes I'm not interested in.

Last time I was asked out it was a couple of months ago by a high schooler (the 2nd one in a row I might add), it sucks having a baby face sometimes.

But in my entire 5 years of college I think I got asked out like 5 times, by dudes on campus.

My record is being asked out 4 times within 15-20 mins walking from my house to the bus stop on my way to school. It was weird. But I'm kinda pretty and I get asked out on average every other week. But I usually say I can't give them my number cuz I have a boyfriend. But really its just cuz they aren't my style or I already have too many guys of interest at the moment I'm already juggling

The only times I have been asked out is on Tinder or dating sites with several exceptions, one where I have met a guy via friends who introduced us and then there was one time I dated a guy I met on a college night out at a bar. That is about it.
