How do you respond to someone who has stood you up?

How do you respond to someone who has stood you up? Most likely for the purpose of seeing how long you will wait for them? It's been two days and no apology and I haven't tried to talk to him yet but he needs to know it is not cool.

PS - He made me wait 4 hours.. when I was supposed to be with him at work. I know he got swamped but he still could have picked up the phone.

You don't contact him at all. If after days you contact him just to scold him, he's going to get exactly what he wants, a reaction. Standing someone up at all is unacceptable, especially if they don't call to let you know what's going on. But it's even worse that he never called afterward to apologize. He's basically saying he has no respect for you and that he thinks that kind of behavior is OK. I would say to proceed with caution even if he had apologized, but since he didn't, I wouldn't go out with him again even if he asks. That's how you can let him know it's "not cool."

when that happened to me I sent a text telling him it wasn't cool and then blew him off after that. the best thing to do is either let him know its not cool and then never give him another chance, or ignore the guy and never give him another chance again. if a guy stands you up you should never give him another chance again because that shows he is disrespectful, selfish and egotistical so why would he deserve it?

You don't contact him...let him do that...if he does contact you, and wants to hang out again, you let him plan the next get-together...if he stands you up again, you may want to call the relationship dead at all costs, even friendship

If someone stands you up, it's disrespectful. Especially, if they don't have the decency to call you on the phone and let you know. The guy is clearly a jerk, who's self absorbed.
