Girls, are Instagram models inspiring to you or do they make you feel insecure/bad about yourself? (Page 2)

I honestly don't see how any good can come out of girls following Instagram models. It has been found that Increased feelings of envy are significantly related to decreased feelings of life satisfaction and self-esteem for women who use social media, such as Instagram (Cretti, 2015). Furthermore, Instagram usage negatively influences women’s appearance-related concerns and beliefs, leading to feelings of depression and anxiety (Fardouly et al., 2017).  I am curious, do you find following Instagram models inspiring, or do they make you feel insecure and bad about yourself? I am directing this questions towards girls, but guys can feel free to comment as well.

It used to be inspiring - until I aged 21 and realized that "when I get older" I'm not going to look like that.  Now I have a whole lot of plastic surgery to satisfy my appearance.
