At first. Bit I mean if she is always giving vague mysterious responses it's kinda like what the fuck can I talk to you about?
"What was high school like for you?"

"... that day... so long ago... Becky isn't here anymore"

Mhmmm it can be indeed. But there comes a point in almost every man's life where he simply loses interest in "trying to figure a girl (or girls) out". It's at this stage that a lot of men will simply roll eyes at a woman trying to be mysterious.

The mystery card does men a lot better actually - because unfortunately most men are not mysterious or interesting at all.

I think most of the men like mysterious women. Because its hard to gain their trust and make friend with them. But women who are easy to talk and go out with are not interesting and in priority list. They are always for emergency times or the times when men are lonley.

No. To me that means she speaks little and makes herself unavailable. Non-communicative and away. Hmm, she is not interested, so, run away screaming. Playing hard to get is one thing, at least there is some interest, but "mysterious" sounds like too much trouble and a waste of time because you get no response.
