Why do girls date skinny guys?

I don’t see a logical reason as to why you’d date a guy who’s built like your little sister. Lucky for me, I’ve gotten out of the skinny physique and the skinny fit physique and am now sitting in the ottermode physique, but I see girls saying how much they love skinny guys. The whole reason I got into fitness was because hot girls like muscular guys. The worst part is when those skinny guys break those girl’s hearts. How is that even possible? How can a skinny guy be in the position to be able to break your heart? It doesn’t make sense to me. I saw being muscular as a trophy, but now this is happening. Why do girls like skinny guys?

To be honest, as an avid nerd/gamer I have often had attraction happen before even seeing each other. Not trying to downplay looks here but the ability to whisper something in her ear to make her all giggily and blushing is underappreciated.

They might make assumptions on your personality, skinny nerd guys are seen as kind and gentle whereas muscled steroid user guys are seen as douche bag narcissists. It's just a perception thing like if you saw a girl walking around nearly naked you would think 'attention seeker' or 'probably slutty'

Preferences we all like different things. As someone who is almost exclusively attracted to skinny men, I don’t really understand the psychology I think it’s the angular shape and the implication that they’re likely nerdy or artsy.
