Usually to get more likes/get attention. Sometimes if they have good body - to show it off. Some also are ambassadors of some brands and they have to post photo from time to time. Sometimes just because they were somewhere on the beach etc. and they just have photo like this.
Personally, I have one photo in bikini on my Instagram. İt is from my trip in Asia and I just really liked this photo because the light is amazing and the view behind me as well. My body also appears not bad. I was confused if post it or not because I don't really like to show my body too much. And actually I asked my boyfriend about it. He said it's okay to post it because it looks nice and that anyway people see me on the beach in bikini.

Attention and validation. They suffer from low self-esteem and/or self-worth, and need justification via likes/comments on social media. Guys do it too, usually with gym pics. It's funny, I used to post a gym pic every few weeks to a month until I learned about self-worth. Now, I'm in the best shape of my life, I do MMA and boxing, and I haven't posted a single gym pic or status in well over a year because I don't need anyone's validation. I'm happy with myself, and I know I'm in good shape so I don't need 100 girls to tell me that on FB.
It depends. Some are attention seekers, some want to show off their hard work because they're proud of it and others simply had fun on a beach and like to share that side of themselves. A bikini is not a sexual item of clothing per se, it is a sexualised item. There is no reason why someone wearing a bikini should be seen as provocative.

But in real life I know you the opposite"According to biology and psycology, females disproportionaly require social empathy and acceptance when compared to their male counterparts. To feed their biological serotonin hunger, they will resort to make-up, clothing and status to acquire more views, increasing their popularity. After the first steps is just a spiral, hard to get out of.
You can see this behaviour in Twitch. tv, for example, where men resort to their entertainment skills while women resort to their bodies. Another example is Instagram, where "professional instagramers" take an average of 50 photos to get the perfect lighting, shadows, angle, etc. All to create a fake but extremely effective way to feed hormonal desire to our brains. My intention for posting current swimsuit pic: "there was a time when you wouldn't even wear a swimsuit, bitch you better take this selfie and be proud of these 83 pounds that are forever gone!"
Other women's intentions: probably something similar, that or they just felt like posting 🤷🏾♀️If they're on a beach or by the swimming pool, I would wager that they just want to show others that they're enjoying life. I mean, you'd wear a bikini to those places because those are the places you'd wear them. Now, if she was wearing a bikini and it's snowing or raining outside...
They like their bikini and want their friends to see it.
However, they do not want to know how hard yoyr dick us after seeing said photo. No one does.
In essence, because she likes it. She likes how it looks on her. And she wanted to show her friendsI never will on a dating site, but on a site like this one, the various forums I visit for 3D modelling/game development, etc. I do it because I get tired of guys hitting on me.
Usually it's sight unseen, so I'll put up a bikini pic to show them that the girl they probably thought was a young hot thing is actually a 300 lb. middle aged woman who, despite the extra weight, has surprisingly small boobs.Depends. Usually the order posts can also give you a hint of their photos. If you see a lot of travel pics, the bikini pics could be also for showing that she's having fun at the beach under the sun and all. If you see that in many pictures she's posing to show off her body than the bikini pic was also for showing off.
Simple
Show off and make other jealous...
But one day all these beauty will be gone and what remains is nothing more than a dustbin bag.Guys are visually stimulated.
We want attn and we do look cute and sexy in a bikini.
We like complements...A better question is why do some men drive huge trucks and slap on hundreds of bumper stickers that say and number of political or sexual statements, and have obnoxiously loud exhausts and rev their engine at the granny going slow in front of them, and then cut her off before double park in the handicapped spots?
Actually it doesn't means anything , we were at a swimming pool or beach and we wanted to enjoy our day by taking pictures isn't because of the body shape or something, guys also takes pictures at beach /swimming pool alone or with friends 😄 some guys also put their hand under the short and also what that means? (Sorry about my English )
Show you we are on a beachvacation wearing a cool bikini. So basically the intentions are the same as when we take pictures in the streets wearing cute clothes.
Look how fucking adorable I am and I'm a world traveler. Yes ain't that the truth. It think they want people to say that they are beautiful. Sometimes it's a lack of selfesteem.
For people to notice how good their body looks, or how cute the bikini is. Some people (like me) work really hard to avoid sweets and do the lunges to get a good booty. Why not show it off?
Attention, compliments and validation.
Usually only lost girls do this...
Or - could be they've lost so much weight (worked so hard) they just want to brag a little - which is understandable.Depends on the woman. Maybe she just wants to show off her cute bikini, maybe she wants to show how much fun she's having on the beach, maybe she's trying to boost her confidence.
I've never posted a full body pic on my social media accounts but I have some that my bikini top is on display. I like taking pictures in general because they usually hold a story behind them.
I wouldn't say there's an intention behind it, it's the same as any other picture they'd post and if they feel confident enough to post bikini pictures then it's all about 'look good, feel good'
Showing their asses.
That's pretty much it.
Like I get it, I also like to be chased, I also use my seduction skills by showing the results of workout. AT THE BEACH.
Social media is just waaaaaay too much attention-whoring.
I understand if they are trying to make a carreer out of it though.
