See this is a problem. Some of you guys take it too personally when you have to put in a little effort to get a woman. It's silly how men will complain about having to chase women, but I'm sure you don't want a whore right? Remember, you are not the only guy in the world and probably not the first guy she's datied. If you don't want to chase her, then you're saying you want a woman who makes it "easy" for men to get with her. Think about all the other guys who have come before you, would you want her to make it easy for THEM too? In the initial stages, when I hardly know a guy, of course I doubt him a little. Can you blame us? Most guys would love to have sex with a girl and mess around with her but how many want to take the time to get to know us and treat us right? This is why we have to be so selective. No one is FORCING you to chase a woman, but we want to see who is willing to make the effort to pursue us and who just wants easy p**** to fall into his lap?

I love this kind of question. What do you mean "MAKE guys chase them"? Guys are free to engage in or stay out of the chase -- no one is actually forcing you to pursue a specific girl, right?

So you'd go chasing some random girl because you figured she just wanted you to do that? I'm curious as to what gives you that impression. (I'm not being sarcastic. I genuinely want to know.) I mean, what if you're absolutely not interested -- you'd chase her anyway? Isn't that unfair and confusing?

I mean, the clerk at the supermarket flirts with the female clientele all the time, but doesn't chase people; he just being charismatic enough to sell the bread before its designated expiration date, you know?

What I'm saying is that you're not contractually obligated to chase anyone. Public opinion currently dictates that the guy should initiate a few "firsts" (like calling, asking out, etc.), but that only applies if you are INTERESTED in the girl...

Benny here is right. It really is like an ego thing, it's more than too. For me, I just don't really like ending up in the situation where I get heart-beaten and broken. That goes for everyone else I suppose LOL but I'm just really sensitive when it comes to these sorts of matters.

investment over returns principal and power. testing strong men from weak. and penis envy. its a deep deep thing. it permeates not just obvious behavior but affection displays and expected returns and pretty much anything that includes trying to move a guy somewhere other than where he was going in the first place.

pregnancy. loss of rep and comparative weakness are big things on the female world in ways they don't exist in the male one.

Some girls do that to be sure they are loved by them as well. Girls secretly ALWAYS try to chase them, but hesitate so the guy will not get sick of her, and ignore her. By making him chase her, it shows that he still has interest. If the girl chases, they get bored.

The only thing is, both genders do it, so I don't know how it really works out. But that's how I see most girls do it.
