What does it mean when she messages "Hey yea sorry! I've been really busy!"?

A week ago, I matched with a girl on a dating app called Hinge. The conversation started out great and we talked for a while, always replying within 20 minutes. We mostly talked about food we both didn't like, then I asked her about what food she liked and she didn't reply. I waited a few days, then I sent a message asking her what her weekend plans were. Then 2 days later she replies, "Hey yea sorry! I've been really busy!"

I think I should un-match with her.

I don't understand what went wrong. I feel like she's curving me for no reason. I feel like if she liked me, she'd talk to me more. Why do girls match with guys they don't like? Why can't she just say she's not interested? I don't see why not, but I'll take rejection over being strung along.

as a single girl on Hinge trying to meet guys & date... i can tell you that i only match with guys that I'm interested in getting to know more. that doesn't mean i'm already smitten... i'm just curious.

so she probably did like you a little bit and was open to seeing where it went... but was also busy with life & work & such... and also talking with other guys at the same time. it is hard to devote equal amount of attention and effort to every guy & every conversation. her being distant is not necessarily her being not interested in you.

Why are you having such feelings. Just talk with her as normal and dont have high expectations. I dont mind having someone to have a nice little chat everyday, even if theyre not looking to date you. If you feel she's not that interested in you then match with others and initiate other convo.

Yeah man give it some more time and some more patience and if she's still not interested in a week or so just leave it and match with someone else. I believe thats what everyone does, thats what they're on the app for
