Why won't he admit he misses me?

Ah so I called my crush the other day just to keep in touch and he asked me if I was ever going to stop by the old store I worked at ever. I told him that since I worked the same shift as him even if I did he would never see me. So then he asks me if I am off any this weekend. I simply replied with a flirty why? He said that he was off and yeah. I told him I could hang before work if he wanted and he said He didn;t know what his plans were. Asked him why he never calls and he said he is busy and likes having me call. So since he obviously does miss me why won't he just admit it instead of being all aloof?

Guys aren't always expressive and he probably thinks of it as a weakness to tell you he misses you. But I do however have my doubts (sorry for being harsh) about whether he likes you in that way. It doesn't sound like he's making much of a effort to see you right now. Don't try to come across as too clingy though. If he says he might be busy or whatever just act cool and say something clever like it's okay cause you have other errands to run any way. But I could be wrong!

oh trust me I'm not I just think it's funny that every time he asks me about my schedule and mentions that he is you know off or doing _____ and I say well I am doing _____ but maybe we can hang out before/after he gets all flustered and stutters and then says he is just playing the day by ear. Literally happens every time. He's just an idiot, but I don't mind. I think he just might be kinda shy. Oh and for the effort thing he has had the same friends since he was 4 so he is a little slow at it.
