Is it good when he says hope to see you soon?

I've been out with this guy twice and he lives out of town. We had a good time - at least that's what he said. At the end of the night he said "Hope to see you soon"? What does it mean? Is it just nice way of saying good bye forever or would I have a chance for another date?

he probably wants to see se you again so keep contact with him and work on what you've got :)
