An 'edge' in this context refers to something sharp. As in the phrase "a knife's edge". Something who is said to have an "edge" to their personality is someone who is likely not Smiley-smiley friendly-friendly, jovial, genial all the time. It's not to say that they cannot be friendly or happy, just that they can be caustic/irritated/angry/furious/retaliatory if something (or someone) flies in the face of what they like or stand for.

Mystery. Something that gives another person a sense of exploration and adventure while around you. It gives others a that long lost or at least sought after feeling of childlike wonder, which keeps the thought of death or mortality at bay. And given the term "edgelord", this description does seem ironic.

I always thought it was someone that explored more of the social taboos than the average person. Maybe even have a bit of dark humor? Or even a dangerous side that they can easily control but still let out¿ It really depends on what context the person said it in. It could mean many things!

It means a hostile or negative undercurrent in how a person talks to or interacts with people. So a person who is mostly nice but occasionally insults or lashes out at people has an edge to their personality. Not related to being "edgy"

I'm kinda edgy. It just means your honest and not afraid of any consequences you get. Truth can hurt but who cares? Facts don't care about your feelings so I say suck it up! (you know for their own good) Also means you're not a total push over.
