My girlfriend gets moody and annoying as hell when she's on her period...what should I do?

I love her and she's extremely caring, sweet, funny, nice to talk to, intelligent...but gets annoying, moody, rude and ironic and etc when she's on her period...I'm not even exaggerating...it bothers me to the point that it makes me not want to talk to her because I'm always attacked...help.

if you live together just go in another room...she's just dealing with a lot because periods come with bloating, headaches, fatigue, nausea, CRAMPS, water weight gain and not to mention the temporary anemia... if she's as sweet as you say they she doesn't mean to be mean, this just doesn't leave much room for love...oh the mood swings don't help either. I would say make sure she doesn't need anything if you want to help and then take a little breather until the worst part of the dreaded curse has passed and then go back to being an adorable couple =)

You have to give her space. She's upset because of the pain and the way she feels she looks on the outside. Having a period is awful. No matter what you do it will irritate her. The first few days are always the worst. So when she's not on the rag, Sit her down and tell her how you feel. Ask her how you can make it a bit better for her. Be attentive. She doesn't mean to be a yotch. It's the cycle.

I always warn my husband and daughters that I have little patience for them and they need to give me some peace and space because I can almost feel the anxiety and annoyance, it's like my blood boils when something gets on my nerves during that time. You need to watch the calender and give her space. If she hurts your feelings tell her so she may not even realize what a raging pain in the you know what she's being because for me it's almost a primal feeling you don't realize it sometimes till you're snapping at someone that it's even happening.

Give her a hug, tell her you love her and that if she ever needs anything she can count on you to be there. Works every time!

Otherwise, give her some space so she doesn't feel the need to attack you every time she sees you. She probably doesn't realize she's acting that way... it just.. happens. Maybe try talking to her sometime when she's not on her period. But overall just make sure she knows you are there for her, even when she is a cranky-butt.

A lot of us girls suffer BIG TIME just before and during the first couple of days of our period. Our hormones are going crazy and our mood can be pretty black! Does she take anything, could you have a chat with her and suggest something like Evening Primrose Oil or Vitamin B6? Both these supplements are really good at stabilising the hormones during the cycle if a woman takes them every day and can greatly lessen the mood swings at 'that' time of month.
