Trending & News Yeah I love comforting girls when they cry. I find it instnctual especially if the girls are my friends. If it's a complete random stranger I will verbally comfort girls without physical contact. Wouldn't wanna freak 'em out now lol. Apparently I'm really good at making people feel better about themselves and raising their self-esteem. But the worst thing is comforting girls who you would like to date. I still do it because that's just who I am even though I risk just ending up being a friend everytime. But I don't wanna comfort her just to get into her good books so I can get a date out of her because it seems rather sneaky and dishonest. That may be the reason why I always end up in the friend-zone.
Personally, I hate to see girls cry.
Not hate, as in "get away from me you emotional bitch" hate...
...more of an "awww, why's she so sad?" hate.
As an oldest sibling of 6 (from age 17 to 5), I have a natural protective instinct. When a girl I somewhat know is crying, I try to comfort her the best I can. Whether I just listen, give advice, and/or break the touch barrier (in a non-creepy way) is all based on situation.
I'm a naturally compassionate dude, & I do care for the emotional well-being of women. Not manipulative bitches...but real women. :)
Men want to solve your problems. So if someone is bothering you, he wants to beat them up (figuritively), if you're in a stressful situation, he wants to get you out of it, if your car breaks down, he wants to fix it.
But, if you are crying just because your sad or because someone hurt your feelings, men don't quite know how to handle it. They may put their arm around you, and hold you. But, they aren't necessarily going to try and say the right thing. Men are more doers than sayers.

Well, to me, it depends on who it is. If it's someone I care about, then yes, I would want them to come to me for whatever they need, and that includes a shoulder to cry on. However, if it was some random girl who I hardly know, and have only talked to once or twice, then yeah, that would be pretty awkward.
I would give anything to comfort the girl I love; to hold her in my arms when she's crying, and to do my best to make her feel better. However, our relationship is complicated, and it's pretty much impossible for me to be able to do that.
But yea, I would want them to let it out, and not feel like they have to hold it back for fear of freaking me out. I'd want them to be honest, and show how they really feel, rather than to see them suffer from not being able to let it out.
As long as the girl doesn't cry all the time, yes it is instinctual for me. It's not that I like girls coming to cry on my shoulder because I would rather them not cry at all. However, I enjoy making people feel better and being there for people. Just the kind of person I am.
Depends how well I know the girl. If it's a friend or girlfriend or family member or someone I'm interested in, I'd try to comfort her. If it's a stranger I might ask her what's wrong. If the stranger is completely hysterical in her crying I tend to stay away.
If a girl cries about something really meaningful to her and she doesn't cry all the time then yes it's absolutely an instinct and if she came to me for comfort in that scenario I'd be really, really honoured. Nobody ever comes to cry on my shoulders...
I like to care for them but to an extent. If a girl cries all the time, it means nothing and no one cares at that point.
depends on what they're crying about. if it's silly petty drama then no. if it's something more serious then I'm there for her.
my boy comforts me when I cry <3
