Why did my crush’s friend add me on snapchat by username?

I sometimes see my crush around school and I catch her looking at me and vice versa. I think we are both shy since nothing ever seems to come of it.

Today, a friend of hers added me on snapchat by search. This means she found out my username by asking someone else as I don’t post my snapchat username publicly.

Why has she done this as I’ve never even noticed or talked to her friend?

She’s either trying to snoop for her friend, because your crush likes you too and doesn’t want to be too forward and obvious by adding you herself, so she asked her friend to do it. Or, it’s literally a coincidence and her friend is the type of person always trying to expand her social circle and has just figured that since she doesn’t have you as a friend yet, why not, so she asked someone and added you too. It’s hard to know because we don’t know much and this girl and we also don’t have complete confirmation that your crush does indeed like you, but these two options are the most logical.
