Why do a lot of mothers give bad advice to their sons?

They tell their sons to respect women & be chivalrous & caring but it never does anything good for you. a lot of women like the asshole or bad boy type and even though girls say they want a nice or caring guy, actions say differently. That's why whenever a girl says something, it's useless to me & i pay attention to the actions more. Funny things is it's always the complete opposite of what they say. a lot of young women date assholes or bad boys & when i say that, they really are assholes (behaviour wise & personality), not because they're some guy a girl chose over me. So my question is why do moms encourage nice guy behavior yet it's not what a lot of girls seek out or truly even want?

It's not bad advance. There's a difference between being a doormat and someone who is respectful but can also stand up for themselves. Being an asshole might get you girls but you won't be able to keep them. I wouldn't date the "bad boy" because he cheats on the girls he dates. If you want any kind of a good lasting relationship I'd take your mom's advice. You can be a good person and have an "edge" at the same time.

Their lives get threatened, their children's lives get threatened, their families lives get threatened, a lot of victims believe they deserve the abuse because they are constantly told they were in the wrong and they did something to get hit, a lot of abusers control everything included finances so where the fuck is the victim going to go and survive without money? Don't say family or friends because a lot of the times abuse is behind closed doors and no one knows hence the excuses like "I fell down the stairs".

Why would one do the bare minimum and expect the maximum reward? The information which they have given you seems to be consistent (applicable to most women), the rest are dependent on the preferences of the women. Being a 'nice guy' is not good enough (it's the bare minimum), you need to possess other qualities as well.
