Has it ever occurred that mothers who abuse/disrespect the father of their child are setting a bad female role model example to their sons?

This scenario is regardless of whether the mother is married to the father or not. However they still interact quite regularly together in front of their children over a long period of time.

Anyway you often hear about women falling into self destructive patterns because their father was abusive and/or disrespectful to the girl’s mother. Young girls saw him as a role model about how men should treat her. She might figure out this later it was wrong and make better decisions in life. However unfortunately many women make bad decisions based of what they saw. Her parents were together for quite some time which is the first relationship example she observed as a young girl.

But there is little talk about the other way around. That is what if a son grew up watching his mother abuse and/or disrespect his dad but they stayed together long term.

Don’t young boys look at the type of relationship his parents had as a role model of what how his relationship should be with women?

But it's also good to see the example of who NOT to marry. Otherwise we may not know that these types of women existed and we may not be able to see the signs.

Also, I don't know why the "Age 45+ Anonymous" had to hide behind anonymity, and also turn off comments. I don't know what he's scared of. What he said was correct (even though it was somewhat of a whataboutism. But I'll let that slide.)

I just noticed that abusive and/or absentee fathers often get blamed in society (as they should). But a man who had the misfortune of a problematic is deemed semi pathetic if he’s got “mommy issues.”

The thing is a young boy is just as defenseless and impressionable as a young girl. But women being bad female role models for their sons isn’t talked about often.

This goes for both. This why I also say regardless of how bad she is. Never talk bad about her in front of your kids. If she's trash they're going to figure it out eventually. But fellas ALWAYS remember you're their male role model. If they see you bagging on her they're going to assume that's normal behaviour. Be above that! If not for yourself do it for the men and women your kids will eventually become.
