Why do some moms dislike their daughters but are loving to their sons?

I dunno i definitely had some moments with my own mom lol.

i dunno i guess maybe they see more possibilities in sons over daughters for what they will become in life. it might be a patriarchal way of thinking that hasn't gone away yet.

your mom is training you like her mother trained her. that's how she was taught. she leaves sons training to the father

Because some moms are sick enough to see their own daughters as threats. These are the same women who will make mother in laws from hell because they see their daughters in laws as threats as well and see it as them taking their sons away from them.

This happens my late mom seemed to favor me over my sister but she did help my sister out with my little niece, I don't want to be favored over anyone, you are a good daughter to her, I believe she needs to sit down and have a talk with you

i think both parents are usually guilty of going more easy on their opposite gender children, same thing goes with dad’s and daughters
