Girls and guys, why do sons love their mother and daughters love their dad?

Well, from a psychological perspective, children tend to look more towards the parent they most relate with (which is why a female child may draw more pictures of her father than her mother, if her mother is absent or has a conflicting/different personality).


Then, from a social perspective, you have mothers being the primary caregivers in many families, so the children will look towards her, boy or girl, and fathers that are around tend to be more protective of their daughters, so they will form that sort of bond.


Culturally, men are given less emotional support, and so boys will seek that comfort in their mothers, rather than fathers who don’t know how to give that sort of support. Girl will run to their fathers who they see as protectors and strong

It's normal for children of the opposite sex to love their opposite sex parent in ways that are somewhat different from the love they have for their same sex parent. This is what teaches us about the opposite sex and how to love them.

I don’t have a dad and I don’t love my mom. She is stricter but soft on my sisters.

I love both but my mom was soft on boys / men but now she has changed for worst. My sister went through a bad divorce since then my mom started hating boys and men. She is soft on my sister. But I can't take it, I don't know why? she is hating me, I love her so much. I was a mama's boy. I know some bad women brainwashed her including my sister and neighbor aunts. Why are modern women so bad? I didn't brainwash anyone. My paternal and maternal grand parents were good human beings.
