Innocent boys aren't boy friend material. I heard it from a girl. My opinion on this is little different. But is it really so. Do girls really think that and for dating always choose a stylish or a fun loving guy?

What they mean my boy, is that innocent boys are husband material after they have had their fun with the boyfriend material.
By that logic, which is common logic (I didn't say all girls) to girls, they wanna have fun, explore with the fun loving, extroverted, living in drama everyday kinda guy. But then later settle for the innocent, more docile guys cause they are easier to trust.
Sad and harsh truth for guys trying to date. There is only one other kind of guy, but for that, you'd have to change a little. He'd be the type romantic movies are based on.

Sounds like what she is actually saying is that she doesn't like people who she deems as boring. Which is fair enough but innocence doesn't mean the same as boring. To me innocence is more about someone's attitude towards sex/sexual experience

I can understand not wanting someone who doesn't want to go and explore new things as i've grown to have the same tastes
