What makes a girl lose interest in a guy she likes?

Something like this seems to be happening to me right now so a little backstory here first

For about a year before she started talking to me she would stare at me a lot as would her friend and sometimes they would talk about me. I had a crush on one of her other friends and I talked to her but sort of failed, never talked to her again. She randomly started to ignore me after talking to her for two weeks and her bestfriend looked pissed at me. I tried to texting her if we could talk so I could ask if she was ok but she kept making excuses not to meet me and eventually ignored my message. Was finally able to talk to her in person but she wouldn't tell me what was wrong she just told me she was busy

Oh that's easy. Finding out things about you when your not around her. Were checking, testing and screening you out all the time. If found out something that goes against or standards, morals, beliefs, etc.

And you started talking to one of her friends of course you're going to ignore you. You come off as a player.

Because you liked her friend first - a normal girl will never date somebody who was previously interested in her friend and only choose her because the friend was not interested. Girls feel disrespected when you don't act like them you want them but still express interest in dating them.

From personal experience, it’s possible that she heard rumours about you from other people depicting you as weird. I’m not saying you’re weird. I’m saying it’s possible and plus that judgment is subjective. Some people are more judgmental or maybe she liked you and told a friend about it and her friend might have told her that she thinks she’s way out of your league. Hopefully not though. Another possible thing was that she only liked you as a friend but noticed you having an interest in being more so she backed off to send you the message. Sorry about that man, but I hope you find out!

I would say, it's probably because you liked her friend first. Girls don't like that sh**, it's like you're second pick. And when you tried to talk to her, if it didn't go well like you said it did, that would definitely put the icing on the cake. She might feel hurt, first of all, in which she probably liked you too, and just wanted you to make more effort to interacting with her. She hasn't gotten over it yet or else she wouldn't make an excuse not to meet you. It's best to let her calm down and if you really like her make an effort. And if she only responds to your texts, express remorse in those texts. She has to forgive you first, in order to confront you again.

It almost sounds like she found something out about you that pissed her off. Women are weird.. see, we will test you for weeks before making a final decision on whether or not we see you as a potential suitor. Women won't tell you if you "failed" their test either. Which is probably why she won't talk to you and just says she is busy. I would move on from this on because I honestly dont think there's a chance to recover. Not sure what could have pissed her off unless she found out that you had tried getting with her friend first. She might feel used or wonder why you would go after her friend instead of her. Could be a number of reasons, really. Also, if a woman is kind of "up in the air" about you and not really sure if they see a future with you, it doesn't take much to make them throw in the towel and lose interest almost immediately. I would move on. I dont think there is any real chance of you ever figuring out what went wrong.

Honestly I would suggest not caring about it. Of she doesn't want to talk about it now just ignore it. I mean you probably have other friends or family members you can spend your time with. Instead of trying to figure out these mind games she's playing.

Make use of your time, if she eventually comes around and asks/tells you about it, then that's great. But if she doesn't come around you already were busy about your own goals that to notice that.

It could be anything from you doing something to make her see you in a different way, or even just that she loses her attraction for you. Sometimes they don't like you that much to begin with, so they stop liking you for no reason really. Everyone has a different reason for not liking someone, but usually I stop liking someone if our conversations become boring and repetitive, they start distancing themselves from me without stating why, etc.
Although, if I like them a lot, I don't stop liking them for a long time. Even if I break up with them for the reasons I stated above. But yeah everyone is different, maybe just ask her.

Nobody wants to be second choice. I’m sure her friend told her what happened. I lose interest when a guy seems desperate and will take whatever he can get. If you really like her, than prove it. Send her message saying I’m sorry if I did something wrong or offended you anyway. I really would like to talk to you but if you’re not interested I understand. That way there’s no pressure on her. Also, maybe you said something that turned her off.

Depending on how you come across with your behavior towards the girl you are interested in. In this case, you made one a priority and not the other and some girls are very sensitive when liking a person... try again but with a different girl but be confident and be your self and be honest with your feelings whenever you want to have a relationship, otherwise you'll have girls really mad at you.
