Friend cut me off after confession?

My female friend ended our friendship because she thinks I’m in love with her, mutual friends spread lies about me liking her that she believed, she unfriended me on everything and ignores/avoids me at work.

I don’t care about her not liking me in a romantic way because I don’t have romantic feelings for her (remember people spread lies about me liking her) but the fact that wishes cut me off without (it seems) a care in the world hurts.

Do you you think she ever even valued me as a friend?
One time she got angry at me for ignoring her back after she started ignoring me and told me to leave her alone (I only ever tried to talk to her to clear up this misunderstanding)

I have had friends who wanted to 'unfriend' me, but cannot do so because they do not have any reason. So they search for ridiculous reasons to quarrel with me whatsoever and that gives them a reason to unfriend me. It sounds like your female friend is doing the exact same thing. Because if she value your friendship, she is going to check with you if you are falling for her or not.

I understand how you feel, it happens to me for many many times. And some continues to haunt my for years. All it takes is just one mutual friend (or enemy) to spread lies and your friendship is gone. I can only say move on, the quicker the better.

People who leave like that, after finding out you like them, never really wanted you as a friend... and in this case it will make it hard to work with her now
