I have this feeling that it's more about control. Perhaps they become Lesbians because they can more easily control another women than a man. I'm really no expert on the subject. Just my observation. Usually, couples will take on roles in a relationship. One takes on the masculine role and the other will take on a more feminine role.
I tend to look at the natural order of the animal world. The female will typically decide who they choose to mate with. At some point they will need to give up that control and allow the male to mate. This is not that different with humans. Some women are not comfortable with giving up that much control.
I also think society has influenced how women feel about men. Many women may feel that men just want to use them. There is some truth to that. As a man I can say that this is how many men learn to cope with women and the mixed signals we get. I think
I've heard every excuse. It just got really old and my attitude toward women changed dramatically. I felt I was forced to treat women like objects to protect myself from disappointment and rejection. If I didn't get invested. I didn't get disappointed.
Remember, in the animal world the women has all the control up to the point in which she is ready to give some of that control away.

I’m not a lesbian, or gay. I’ve never noticed angry lesbians. But I have seen angry women, but that’s no reason to believe they have a girlfriend. So using my own experiences I can guess that maybe The reason I don’t care about dating anymore, rejections were too severe It was practically anxiety. Between anxiety/sadness/depression/anger (sometimes I’m pissed thinking about) is because I’ve never had sex, or had a girlfriend, or dated. I can’t stand being around guy friends because they tell me things like “it’s not a big deal.” I’ll never understand that, so either way I feel there’s always half of what I don’t know. I Take their advice with more than a grain of salt because it’s special wisdom imparted, then occasionally they make fun of me behind my back because my lack of experiences. So I guess I’m more cranky than most guys is because try going your entire life without sex. Guys in today’s society are almost expected to be addicts. I don’t know if anything makes sense here anymore.
