Do guys like girls who are upfront about what they want?

I like this guy. And although I Haven't came out and told him I like him, I give pretty good hints. I don't wait on him to text me. If I have something to say, I say it. We don't see each other much, but I let him know that I want to see him when we can. I feel like I do a lot of the chasing, but if a let more days pass than normal and we haven't spoken, he will initiate conversation. We don't talk a whole lot, every few days or so and we rarely ever actually get to see each other. Do guys like this kind of behavior? I've heard that guys are supposed to do the chasing, but if I find something I want, I take initiative and go after it. I honestly don't even know if he is interested in me, but I would rather try something and fail than not try and always have to wonder what could have been. I think I make it pretty obvious that I am interested, so would he keep talking to me if he wasn't interested back?

I agree with the other three in here. You sound like a GREAT woman that speaks her mind, SOME women think we are mind readers and that really makes things hard on us men. You are doing the right thing that most men would feel flattered about. If he is not interested at least you tried and from what you'd said I would honestly say you sound like a awesome lady and that would be his BIG loss

I think that being upfront and honest is good. However, I personally like guys who have some courage to ask a girl out.

I value honesty above other things. She can tell me something I wouldn't want to hear and I don't get upset she told me but try to understand why she did it.

When I start a relationship I let the other person know where I am coming from and what I am looking for. There is room for something serious but starting off slow and casual is the best. I still think it is best to hook up with friends of friends. You can gather information a bit more that way.
