Why girls don't approach me anymore?

Girls used to always approach me but I used to never approach them. Girls used to always have conversations with me, I don't even have to put the efforts to keep the conversations going, I also used to leave they texts open so many times. But now when I decided to approach girls, I'm the one to keep the conversations going and when I compliment them it felt like they don't give a shit cause they get this all the time. Should I be like I was before?

Maybe they felt like that you didn’t care or wanted the attention, especially since you mentioned that they put in all effort by approaching and starting the conversations. Overtime they probably assumed that you didn’t want them to talk to you so they stopped putting their effort in.
