Girls, Why is she acting weird and cold/distant?

So we were work friends and I think we both were attracted to each other, had chemistry etc and just felt like we had a connection. She mentioned one time she wanted to hang out on a weekend and I thought maybe she was just being nice/friendly. I didn’t ask her over as she started to act weird and didn’t know what was going on with her. I think I may have said something that turned her off or I may have hinted I’m not interested somehow. She acted guarded, then other times wanted my attention trying to get me to notice her which is confusing. I’d approach her but she’d runaway or looked scared of me for some reason and I’d often catch her looking at me. I don’t know if she liked me and thought I didn’t like her or that I creeped her out somehow? Girls what do you think? Why would you suddenly act this way towards a guy?

There could be many reasons why but here's two...
1. When a girls likes a guy, sometimes the guy starts to show his feelings too, but he sometimes can freak her out if he starts showing them like crazy. It's not like a bad freak out, it's more of like... OMG there's a chance that he may feel the same, but he's acting so different🤐

2. Her stomach turns everytime she sees you, so she sprints off because she has butterflies. Literally butterflies can be horrible for both girls and guys, back in middle school, I had trouble even saying one word to my crush... that ended towards High School lol🤣🤪

Haha yeah that makes sense and I hope that’s how she feels, it’s just confusing and I hope I haven’t freaked her out. I just don’t know how to act around her anymore
