Why would that make a girl too geeky? I think a girl that games, watches anime, or collects comic books is totally hott. I don't really like having to label a girl based on what she likes, for an example gamer girl as opposed to gamer guy? How stupid.
The other thing is that guys are the worst when it comes to girls and some type of nerdy event. Girls that play a multiplayer game is like blood in the water for piranha to guys. They lose their mind, start sending friend requests, or speaking in a demeaning manner.
I have found a lady over a random chat and we hit it off and are best friends over like two years because she is into everything that I am into but I didn't make it creepy. Guys just need to make it a divided world that a genre has to be about guys or about girls.
Girls should be able to enjoy anything and not be objectified because the fan base is mostly guys. It is like a double edged sword for girls, either the guy can't stop from being a creep or they get belittled by an over masculine chauvinistic man.
I actually prefer geeky girls because I find it sexier than normal girls that are too afraid to indulge in a guilty pleasure like video games, comic books, anime, comic con, or whatever. I say all girls that are into geeky stuff step up and flaunt it.

You like what you like.
Well... tbh I have seen my fair share of anime from "for kids" through fantasy to Yaoi/Shouen ai (Naruto, SAO, Fate, Neon Genesis, Elfen Lied, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Sekai ichi hatsukoi, Black Butler, Mo Dao Zu Shi, Ai no Kusabi, Dramatical murder, Parasyte, Hybrid Child, Seven Deadly Sins, Dororo, Akame game Kill, etc.) and the list goes on... And played or liked some games (Witcher series, Mafia, LoL, Assassin's creed,...) but I personally wouldn't consider myself a geek.
I guess it's not about how much did one play or watch, but how well do they know the stuff and how fanatic they are when it comes to sharing their experience with these.
It depends on the extent in my opinion. I like anime and video games too, but I’m not out here running around Naruto style, and pretending to do kamehamehas in public. I think some people just take it wayyy too far. I’ve seen people wear anime cosplay outfits to normal events. I’ve seen people just randomly burst out into Japanese during a conversation that has nothing to do with Japan or anime. I’ve seen people spend hours on end debating which Saiyan is the strongest. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying that stuff, just don’t let it invade every aspect of your life like that.

As long as it isn't an obsession. Like I watch anime once in a while but I don't watch every freaking one there is on the planet and obsess that much over characters, their cosplay, merchandise or their behaviour so much that I act like them in real life. I have my tastes and liking and not all animes interest me. But the real geekiness comes when you act like a pro in japanese when all the japanese you know are the basics and you recommend people who don't watch anime constantly though they might not show even a slight interest in anime or that type of anime.
PS: I've experienced this before.Honestly, depends on how much she likes it. Every guy has his preference when it comes to women, but usually if you are not obsessive, it doesn't hurt. It's one thing to be a fan, another to be a fan girl, but the worst is someone who is consumed by their interests. As long you enjoy it, I have, and see, no problem with a girl or woman liking games or anime. You do you, it's that simple. Everyone has preferences when it comes to games and anime, that's what might hurt you on a case by case basis, but in general most people don't mind as long it does not completely run your life. Hope this helps...
One part of me wants to date a girl that likes video games (I'm not a big fan of anime, although I don't mind it, and have watched a select few), and another part of me thinks the chances of her having a bunch of guy friends increase significantly, and I DEFINITELY don't want a girl surrounded by cock everywhere she goes, so huge turn-off if that's the case. Just the fact that she likes video games by itself would be a good point, because we'd have that in common and could play together, and I'd be down for watching anime in the right company too
Not at all. You do you, just don't let it affect your studies and relationships. Key is to strike a balance.
In some working environment, the "geekiness" is frowned upon so you'll cope with separating your private and working life. You will have a circle who you can geek out freely and a partner who will join you in geeking out.Unless their worldviews are based purely on pop culture references (looking at the people whose politics consist of nothing except comparing real people and events to Harry Potter aka. Potterheads), not really. I would in fact go as far as to say that geekiness in a girl would be a plus in my case. It would allow us to discuss things on the same wavelength and be able to recommend new stuff to eachother that the other might not have even seen or heard about. Just like I already do with my male friends.
No.
I love anime and playing video games, reading comics and manga. Huge DC and Marvel fan. I like to collect figures, statues, and funko pops. I always thought of myself as a geek because it's like a obsession. I'm also a horror geek.
No such thing as being geeky just because a girl likes video games and anime.A geek is a geek regardless of gender/sex/attack helicopter whatever
I wouldn't see a girl as too geeky as I would see the more common male geeks, what pisses me off are the fakes who pretend to me geeky and yet have no idea what they are doing you can spot the attention seekers a mile away and it best to keep your distance from them for the sake of the geekness!Maybe sort of geeky, but not necessarily too geeky, as many girls do like those in this world. In my experience few geek girls are too geeky, considering the average geek dude I know usually expend more hours playing or watching anime and have played more games or watched more animes than the average geek girl.
Girls that like anime are a dime a dozen, and can vary greatly from graphic action to comedy and disgusting sexual deviants. Hopefully a girl has more to say about herself than "I like anime." Video games likewise cover a wide range of genres that might say a lot about someone, though it's comparatively much less common in girls.
It depends on who you're looking to date. If it's a fellow geek, you're fine up until you pretty much lose contact with reality and start walking up to store clerks asking where the dilithium crystals are. At that point, you generally get downgraded. To, um, "mostly fine" (geeks aren't picky).
Amongst the normals, it's a dicier proposition, but even moderate fangirlism usually isn't a big problem. No, you should like. what you like without worrying how other people perceive it. If they judge you for what you like, you shouldn't be friends/date them.
Lol why? At least it' geeky for everyone who likes video games, anime and all the stuff. I like being a geek or nerd or whatever you would call me. Why should there be a difference between guys and girls? I wish there were even more girls playing video games :D would make it easier to find a girlfriend 🤣
I don't know what "too geeky" means but I don't think just liking anime or games is enough to be considered a geek, unless the word lost it's meaning.
If you mean whether there's an issue with being geeky or with liking video games/anime then no, there isn't.It's just like anything else: Guys who share your interests will see it as a positive thing, while guys who don't will see it as a negative (or at best, neutral) thing. It's all about compatibility.
No, it's awesome. I'm not much into animes though but I don't hate it. I just feel neutral as it's something I have never really explored but it could be a fun thing to watch together, especially if she is into it and does not mind explaining me the lore if I'm lagging out on the story a bit.
i dont think so. as long as the guy is also interested in those things
Hell no. I want someone who can put me on to new interests and pastimes, and I can do the same with them!
No such thing as too geeky in this day and age of computer gaming and females showing more courage in reading comics than the female superheroes within those pages. Females who embrace their inner dork are tolerated, even welcome.
- so long as it is more causal or a hobby it is cute. causal roleplay and/or cosplay is nice to once in a while.
- but if she models the bulk of her life around. anime and/or video games that might be taking it to far.
No not at all like a little challenge to see who's better
