Question

The other day, this girl at work started moving some boxes around the office, not because they told her but simply to clean the office. I think the boxes were heavy as she was struggling with them. I was on my desk doing my work and she kept staring at me, as if she wanted me to help her. Also, because she was a female, I felt that I should have helped her. At the end, I didn’t because moving boxes is not my job and she decided to move the boxes on her own. I felt guilty about it, mainly because she was a girl and I was taught to always lift and carry stuff for women. I don’t think I would have felt the same if it was a guy.

Forget it, it is not your job and not your problem and not worth hurting your back over. Back in the days when women treated men decently I might have said something different, but not now. They can all be "empowered" on their own.
