When a woman complains about sexual harassment from her male co-worker does that make her 100 % truthful?

It's a trend, like when a man is in power he's fine and everything then all of a sudden. The media say's a woman complained about sexual harassment 3 years ago. Then a week later another woman and then another etc... then before you know it you have 7 women coming out of the woodwork claiming you did something to them... Like really? REALLY?
If women have problem's with men say it right then and there. Why do they wait 5-10 even 20 years down the road to complain about something you said 20 years ago. Seems like society and the feminists think that all female accusations are true without any evidence. Like a woman's testimony is worth it's weight in gold and all in truth were she just has to say "He touched my shoulder and I felt like I was being assaulted".

If a woman (or man, because both are captor being harassed/assaulted/etc) complains about sexual harassment in the workplace, then unless they are known liars or have a known vendetta against the person they’re accusing, then yes, I am going to believe the victim (to start) and wait to see how things unfold. You asked why women wait to say anything and they don’t do it right then. Well, the way you structured this question is a prime example. There’s always this air of mystery and the “what if” factor hovering around someone’s claim when it’s towards an individual higher in power or widely loved. People act as if these men/women aren’t still human and still capable of inappropriate behavior simply because “they’re nice” or whatever excuse people conjure up.

Remember when Jussie Smollett complained about being beaten by trump supporters who were black? Everyone condemned trump supporters and every woman democrat rallied to his defense with talk shows and interviews only to find out he hired them to gain sympathy for his *lack of $ wage*. It's easy to take a side and dump them when you realize that you were wrong. I think if a woman wants to make false accusations and ruin a man's life and then find out she made it all up, she should have to pay the punishment as if he were 100 % guilty for the crime.

I definitely remember Jussie, and although his situation was an unfortunate example of someone abusing their platform, I wouldn’t compare it to that of rallying behind a woman claiming she was sexually harassed at work. However, I completely agree that someone caught making a false claim should absolutely be punished to the fullest extent, because she’s ruined someone life and reputation. But those instances are far and few between.

It has to do with a shifting society. For most of American history, women were not believed, and some still aren't. Men in powerful positions have a long history of sexually exploiting women (and children, whom I doubt you would ever question) who are afraid of what these men might do if they break their silence. Hearing others speak out about their stories without being ridiculed or dismissed has empowered others to do the same. It might seem crazy or out of the blue to you because you've never had to think about this before. I'd start, now.

Most women who say they are sexually harassed, really are harassed. But there are always some who make up stories, or exaggerate. Sometimes these made up stories include complaints of sexual harassment.

Yeah. Because they feel less alone and more confident to talk about it if they see other women doing it. Some women won’t speak up out of fear of not being believed, so when they see someone finally speak out then they feel more comfortable to do so as well because they feel less alone.

It’s common decency not to touch someone you don’t know as well. What may seem of feel normal to you can feel like a violation to someone else. Just keep your hands to yourself and don’t touch others without asking first, it’s really that simple. I don’t get why people get so upset about someone not liking being touched... And also, women are afraid to come forward because we are often blamed. We are told well maybe we were asking for it, our clothes were too revealing, our body language said we wanted etc. So many people will find a way to blame the victim before actually pointing the figure at the harasser. I told someone about how I felt uncomfortable when an elderly man followed me around and kept shouting ‘nice tits’ at me. I was told it was my fault because of the shirt I was wearing. I was wearing a tank top that covered my chest yet I was still considered to be at fault in that situation. Girls are constantly told to cover up because we’re a distraction to boys. So yeah, when someone finally had enough courage to speak up then she will most likely inspire others who experienced the same thing to speak up. Because that way you feel less alone about it.
