Friend won’t let me borrow her clothes?

Her clothes and makeup are all designer, and she used to let me use them. Now she doesn’t want to anymore, is she being selfish? How do I get her to let me borrow it?

No she's not being selfish, you're being selfish by always wanting to borrow stuff. She might have decided to stop letting you borrow stuff if you borrowed something without asking, borrowed something that she did not want to let you borrow, or something and brought it back messed up, or just got tired of you always coming around to wear her clothes.

Designer clothes aren't everything, you have to expand your horizons and find clothes of your own that work for you with the look you want. Vinted is a nice app for that, it's personal sales of used clothes, usually at very deep discounts. That way you can try out a couple of different styles and even get some designer stuff that might be a few years old for a decent price. But like I said the brand doesn't matter as much as how it looks on you and how you put the outfit together

To a degree, which means every now and again sure, but if you're doing it all the time then no You're just using her. If you borrow a shirt once a month because you're going out for a fancy date that's one thing but if every single day or every weekend you want to borrow her clothes to go out in then no that's just selfish

I get that but I only really borrow them when I’m going to see her or visit her. I just prefer her clothes and makeup to mine cos they’re designer. I just think it’s weird she suddenly won’t let me borrow them

No matter what the reason is that you don’t have your own, why should she let you use hers? Makeup and designer clothes cost a lot of money. With that being said, when a girl spends 50 dollars on a small makeup product, she would like to make it last a long time. It is a lot of money for something that is a LUXURY, not a necessity. If you are using her makeup as well, it is going to be used up twice as fast and your friend will need to spend another 50 dollars, while you spend 0. That’s not fair. As for the clothes, each time you wear something, it very slowly gets worn out. Eventually something that looked nice can get stretched out, tear, get pilling on the fabric, etc. If you are wearing the clothes they will become worn down even faster than when she only wears them.

All of that aside, the main reason she probably doesn’t want to is that you EXPECT it, don’t appreciate it, and ask way too often.

Well find a way to earn more, I spend almost half my time working and will dabble outside of that to make even more, if you want it badly enough you'll do whatever it takes to get it
