Generally, I see girls shame girls who get the guys. Guys hype up guys who get the girls. Why do you think this happens more than the other way?

Girls who attract lots of guys seem to be disrespected by their own gender more than guys who attract lots of girls.

Do you agree? If so, why do you think this happens more than the other way around?
I'm mostly interested in the girl's behavior but please feel free to talk about whatever comes to mind.

I am well aware that there are girls who hype up other girls and guys who shame other guys but I don't think it's nearly as much as the other way around. I'm not saying either party is right or wrong but you can decide for yourself.

I am genuinely very curious.

One thing I want to clarify is that I am not trying to say that it's the majority because I don't think it is at least for the girls shaming girls but I do think it's a lot more than guys shaming guys. If you actually do think it's the majority please feel free to say so.

Maybe they "shame them" because the girl is handing out sexual favours indiscriminately and using her sex appeal to snag guys.
Some people are obviously much better looking than others, but using one's sexuality to get with lots of partners, and then treating them badly, and immediately moving on, is a choice.

Many people respect those who are selective, more. If you get chosen by someone who says yes to everyone, it doesn't mean anything, really.

If a girl is very good looking, popular with many guys, but also selective, and nice, then there's no reason to speak ill of her. She's done nothing wrong, and she deserves her popularity.

The only scenario that bugs me is seeing young girls flaunt their sexuality, expose themselves to lots of guys, but under the guise of insecurity and pretending they need a self-confidence boost. Then when someone calls them on their game, they lash out ferociously, which only proves that it was all a sham, and they're shallow and nasty inside. "Shut up, I am loving the attention I'm getting." If anyone deserves to be shamed, it's those types of narcissist girls. And there are a lot of them being created every day, thanks to the internet.

Yeah for example, I've heard girls say "I heard she's a slut" or "She's definitely a slut" when a girl is succeeding in her singing career and winning over the hearts of guys. Perhaps she did dress "sexy" but nothing over the top from what I can tell and there are many more girls who dress more obviously sexy compared to guys. I also just find it weird that girls are always saying that guys shouldn't shame women for dressing sexy but girls are calling other girls sluts wayyy more often than guys are. That's a fact. For the most part, guys would only slutshame if he's just livid with her because she hurt him or she's done something very very wrong.

I mean, you're not going to find many guys commenting against women's sexuality, because for the most part, they enjoy women being sexual, in touch with their sexuality, or whatever. It's biological, chemical. (But yes, there's also guys who are traditional and conservative and don't like girls to have a lot of partners, etc.)

Also, females observe, judge, and gossip more. To them, it's almost a sport, to analyze everyone. (It's harsh sometimes, yes. But they don't see it as such, because they don't say it to their faces directly. It's an indirect judging.)

The girls who say "she's a slut" are not the same girls as the ones who support sexy dressing, etc. They're two different groups.

A girl who's a great singer is a great singer. The ones who are shaming her are probably either 1. Jealous, or 2. Not jealous at all, but don't respect the girls who got where they did, using their sexuality, rather than just skill and talent.
I respect talented people more when they don't use their sexuality, but in the music industry in particular (and I guess film and TV) they are marketed in such a way, that often the girls have no choice about it at all. So I tend to give them more of a pass in this context. (Britney Spears was originally one of those. She pushed back against the record label sexualizing her. But she could only hold out for a little while. She caved.)

Some girls (and guys) seem to say all sorts of things that are just uninformed opinions, not facts. And if one girl is mad at another (such as two ex best friends) one might try and ruin the other girl's reputation. Nasty.

And I didn't say anything about how guys react to other guys getting a lot of attention, because I honestly don't know how they feel, enough for me to comment.
You are trying to pull the promiscuous element and compare how guys and girls are treated differently, I guess, but I wasn't addressing that.
If girls shame other girls, I honestly don't know why and I'm just hashing out ideas here.

Women control sex, and they tend to hype up the guys who "get it" the most. When women are easier, it means men put forward less effort to get them, because they don't have to, you sleep with one or two women in a group, they talk you up, and next you know almost everyone in the group biblically.

When that happens with a girl in a group of guys, she's seen as worthless for a relationship, and creates an expectation for other women to put out that easily without offering much in return. I can completely understand why women scold those who make dating and relationships more difficult for the rest of them.

If you do start getting more than your fair share of women, you don't get hyped up, you get ostracized. Fuck-boi, player, simp, pimp, and so many more names I just let roll off my back like water. Say you sleep with one new woman a month, your friends get jealous. Make that two or three and they're calling it a fluke, you just have luck, so on and so forth. While they're getting high playing video games instead of the field.

I think more simply you're seeing that men and women dismiss the women who play the field, while only men dismiss the men who do. Women will still call names and give labels, but they'll go out, come back home, and tell their friends about it.

Simply look at my conversations on here, even if a woman is judging me about having sex with more than one woman at a time, she still wants me to talk to her. If a man is, it's simply an insult with no room for dialogue. If a woman talks about having sex with two men at the same time, she might get some thumbs up or something, but no one's posting anything that invites further conversation.

Envy. It's not that men don't suffer from envy. We just generally handle it more maturely. Women are more prone to tearing others down who possess something that they covet as opposed to praising that person in an effort to learn something from them. There's a reason why people who perpetuate vitriol are known as drama queens as opposed to drama kings regardless of sex/gender. It's just hardwired into the female brain. Females are more envious and catty. Could be because prehistorically females focus on resources thus jealous of other females getting all the 'resources' or having more 'providers' and male are about procreating as much and as many females as possible. Men have evolved not as jealous but rather more competitive and to out do the 'alpha male' by being the stronger one. This way, it promotes the stronger male to procreate with all the females.
Although we're not simple animals anymore, it's still programmed in our genetics. I think this has to do with how we've evolved to procreate. If it was the reverse, males are jealous and shame other males who gets all the females, it plays against ensuring the best survival of that species

I think a lot of it comes down to jealousy. We instinctively want the best for ourselves and when we see someone who we presume is doing better than us then we get envious.
I also think that it goes deeper. For example, I think that people who are unhappy with themselves for one reason or another, maybe they are unhappy in their own relationship or they are unhappy being single, etc, are more apt to have these feelings.
I know when I am single and my friends have the cute guys come up and talk to them that I can feel miffed. But when I am in a happy relationship I am supportive of them and even help out as a "wing-woman".

I think it has to do with sexism. We live in a world where if a guy gets all the girls then he's the hero, but if a girl gets all the guys then she's a slut. Many women believe in this nonsense, so they feel that it's wrong for a woman to get attention from a lot of men. Basically they judge these women and attack them. Which is sad and ridiculous.

I think there’s a sisterhood among women but if women are shaming each other, it’s usually out of competition frustration.

Mostly it’s has been that I’m not attracted to them, something about their behavior, lifestyle, or personality turned me off, or I’ve been taken. They’ve shamed me mostly for having “too high standards” or friend zoning. Recently I had an old friend try to fake his own suicide in order to get back at me for “friend zoning him” over 15 years ago.
