Why do girls get so much more attention than guys?

On socialmedia my guy friend is always saying how jealous he is because im a girl and get crazy amounts of attention (he's actually really attractive as well).
And in real life im always been hit on and I've only ever seen him get hit on once.

because the way the world "works and society works" guys are the ones who are supposed to always make the first move never the other way around I see it all the time guys hit on girls but us guys don't get a lot of attention because girls have a much bigger fear of rejection than guys do that's oddly enough how it is wish it wasn't that way but it is

girls dont even need to do anything, and they get more attention than a ww2 veteran, or a guy that just saved a bunch of peoples lives.

People are just naturally more interested in associating with women. If you look at girls vs guys on social media women on average have a vastly larger amount of friends/followers than the guys do.
