Do you think that "meninists" who complain about breast cancer getting more attention than testicular cancer have a bit of a victim complex?

I've heard some guys asking about why "so much attention is given to breast cancer awareness but hardly any is given to testicular cancer awareness".

Well, let's look at some of the numbers. Every year, 400 men die of testicular cancer while 42,000 women die of breast cancer (that's a 105 to 1 disparity). So it's kind of hard to pin the difference in attention to some kind of bias and the fact that the people who make this claim don't even do basic research shows that they're looking for a way to make themselves seem marginalized.

It's also one of those manifestations of the "balls are the male equivalent of boobs" fallacies. There isn't a "male equivalent of breast cancer" because men can get breast cancer and every year 530 men die of breast cancer. So yeah, if you're complaining about breast cancer getting more attention than testicular cancer and being genuine about it, you should also be advocating for greater attention being given to male breast cancer awareness.

Do you think that meninists who complain about breast cancer getting more attention than testicular cancer have a bit of a victim complex?

Although to be fair, guys aren't the only ones guilty of this. Stop me if this sounds familiar: I wish guys had to get their balls squished to screen for testicular cancer". Well sometimes men have to get mammograms and when I asked my mammotech about that, she said her male patients said actually having their balls in there would hurt 10 times as much. So ladies, quit making excuses and get the girls checked.

Also, I'm not saying that any advocate of testicular cancer awareness has a victim complex. Cancer is a terrible disease and the more awarenessany variety of it gets the better. What I said only applies to those who make that false comparison.

Also, I think that there is a case for more attention being given to prostate cancer BUT this question isn't about prostate cancer.
